01 X-Rays Introduction

X-rays was discovered by W.C.Roentgen in the year 1895.
The nature of the radiation and its properties were unique and not known.
So was the name X-rays coined.
In 1896 the phenomena of radioactivity was discovered.
W.C Roentgen performed the following experiment.
Electricity was discharges through gases in a tube.
A cardboard material was covered in the tube to study its properties.
Surprisingly a glow of light was noticed on a screen.
The screen was coated with Barium Palatino Cyanide.
He proposed that the radiation from the tube caused this florescence.
Thus was the X-rays discovered.
